If early treatment isn’t needed, we’ll keep a close eye and monitor your child’s growth until the time is right.

We recommend an initial orthodontic assessment by age 7. At this stage, we can identify developing bite or jaw issues — even if your child still has baby teeth — and decide whether early treatment is beneficial.
Not necessarily. Early treatment often involves simple appliances like removable plates or expanders. In some cases, we simply monitor your child’s growth until full braces are needed in the teenage years.
It varies by case, but most early treatments last 9–12 months. After that, we usually recommend a monitoring period with retainer use until the teen years, when final treatment may occur.
There may be mild discomfort as your child adjusts to a new appliance, but it’s usually short-lived. Most children adapt quickly and manage well with a bit of guidance and reassurance.
Possibly. however, early intervention often reduces how long or how complex full braces will be. In some cases, it may eliminate the need for them entirely.
Yes. We provide care instructions for eating with appliances, and your child can go about their normal routine including school, sports, and other activities.
Yes. To protect the results achieved during early treatment, we usually recommend a night-time retainer until full adult teeth come in.
